More and more companies are evaluating alternatives to the VMware platform: Proxmox, Hyper-V, Nutanix, OpenShift Virtualization and other solutions are entering infrastructure plans.
But changing the hypervisor does not simply mean changing the software.
It often also means rethinking the hardware on which the new platform will run.
